Oklahoma State's football team kicks off Big 12 play Thursday night at home when they host Texas Tech at 6:30 at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater.

The Cowboy coaches feel confident in the play of quarterback Daxx Garman, who replaced the injured J.W. Walsh against Missouri State, then got the start in a win over Texas-San Antonio.

The OSU defense seems to be improving as well, and they're ready to test themselves against a Tech offense which is traditionally one of the most productive in the conference.

The Cowboys will be facing a Tech defense which gave up nearly 450 rushing yards in their last outing against Arkansas, and since that game, defensive coordinator Matt Wallerstedt resigned, making the Red Raider defense a big question mark for the conference opener.
