When it comes to football games, being on the sidelines can sometimes put you in danger.

A cadet at Texas A&M University decided to risk his safety to protect the school’s mascot.

Miss Reveille is the beloved mascot at Texas A&M, who patiently sits on the sideline of each game.

During the Aggies’ matchup with SMU, she was headed for disaster.

SMU wide receiver Der’rikk Thompson nearly ran into her as he was trying to catch an overthrown ball.

Fortunately for Miss Reveille, Cadet Ryan Kreider was there to save the day.

In honor of his act, the Commandant of Texas A&M Corps of Cadets decided to buy his senior boots.
