LONDON – According to Britain’s defense ministry, British military aircraft carried out their first airstrikes against ISIS in Iraq on Tuesday.

RAF Tornadoes dropped a bomb on an ISIS weapon that was attacking Kurdish ground forces in northwestern Iraq and shot a missile at an armed pickup truck.

According to the ministry, an initial assessment indicates that both strikes were successful.
