Officials asking local suburb to be on alert after series of suspicious fires

BETHANY, Okla. – Officials are asking Bethany residents to be on alert after a series of suspicious fires.

Officials say there have been several suspicious fires in Northwest Bethany over the past three weeks.

According to authorities, in three of these cases, sheds in the backyards of homes were burnt.

All of these cases occurred after dark.

Officials are asking residents to be on alert for suspicious individuals and activity in their neighborhoods, especially after dark.

Residents are asked to lock their sheds and gates.
