DOVER, Del. (WCAU) – A Delaware mother was arrested after her 4-year-old daughter brought over 200 bags of heroin to school.

In fact, police say the little girl passed the bags out to other children because she thought they were candy.

Delaware troopers and medics were called to the Hickory Tree Child Care Center on Monday after workers spotted kids with small bags of a substance.

The bags were confiscated by teachers and given to the Selbyville Police Department.

From there, investigators determined the substance was heroin.

Police say 249 bags of heroin were found inside the girl’s backpack.

Fortunately, none of the children opened any of the bags.

Authorities arrested 30-year-old Ashley Tull for maintaining a drug property and endangering the welfare of a child.

According to WCAU, more charges could be filed.

Her children were placed in the custody of a relative and Tull was ordered to not have any contact with them.
