A pair of famous pigtails has been sold for several thousand dollars!

When it comes to his braids, Willie Nelson would probably agree that it might be crazy for someone to spend $37,000 for his long locks.

Nelson cut the braids off in 1983 to give them to fellow country star Waylon Jennings to celebrate Jennings’ sobriety.

Now, Guernsey’s auction house has sold them to an unidentified bidder, though this collector says he would have bid $50,000 if he’d known about the auction.

CNN’s Jeanne Moos has the story.
