Man arrested after allegedly attacking victim with weed eater

OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities say one man is behind bars after allegedly attacking another man with a weed eater.

Police were called to the 1600 block of N.W. 33rd St. after a man said that he was attacked near his home.

When officers arrived, the alleged victim said 37-year-old Christopher Bielstein had accused him of stealing a bag from him.

According to the police affidavit, Bielstein broke a weed eater and started swinging it at the victim.

Authorities say he hit the victim several times, including on his arm and his head.

Bielstein was arrested for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
