Ali’s famous buttermilk pancake recipe

Ali has a busy home-life and work-life but she can make some mean pancakes! The preperation time is minimal and Ali says your family and friends are sure to be pleased.

She shares her recipe with us.

Ali's famous 'Grandma's Buttermilk Pancakes'

1 egg

1/2 teaspoon salt

1tablesppoon granulated sugar

1 cup buttermilk

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 rounded teaspoon baking powder

1 cup sifted all-purpose flour

3 tablespoons butter, melted

Beat egg slighting in medium-sized bowl. Add salt and sugar. Stir in buttermilk.

Combine baking soda, baking powder and flour in small bowl. Add to buttermilk mixture. Stir in butter.

Heat griddle to medium-high. Grease lightly. Pour 4-inche circles of batter on griddle. When bubbles rise to surface and break, turn and continue cooking until golden brown.

Service with favorite toppings.

Variation: Add anything that you like to the batter such as blueberries, chocolate chips or chopped nuts.
