HYDRO, Okla.- While most of Oklahoma received a bit of much-needed moisture from a storm Sunday night, one family in Hydro says the storm came a little too close for comfort.
Amanda Stockton says her family was at home as the storm moved through their town.
She says she watched the rain pour down when she heard a loud clap of thunder and felt the house shake.
As it turns out, the family's cotton wood tree broke during the storm and came crashing into their home.
The tree crashed into their living room and the kids' rooms.
Fortunately, Stockton says the children decided to sleep in her bed, which is at the other end of the house.
Right now the family is safe and Amanda says that's all that matters.
No one was injured but the house suffered severe damage.
