NEW YORK (CNNMoney) – While Halloween is just around the corner, a lot of shoppers are already thinking about Black Friday.

Macy’s plans to open its doors at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving, even though Black Friday won’t start for another six hours.

In recent years, stores have been opening their doors earlier than normal.

According to TheBlackFriday.com, Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Kmart, Macy’s and Target will slash prices beginning on Thanksgiving.

It says Best Buy and Wal-Mart will open their doors to shoppers beginning at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

Kmart may open even earlier.

Sources say Kmart stores will open at 8 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning.

While a lot of stores are opening their doors to lure shoppers in, many shoppers are purchasing items online instead.

Last year, Cyber Monday set a record for online sales.
