POINT TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WNEP) – A 9-year-old boy is dead and a family acquaintance is in jail in connection with the child’s death.

The man is charged with child endangerment but police say more charges may be filed in the case.

Officers say 9-year-old Korbin Rager was found unresponsive at 58-year-old Victor Hare’s home.

Authorities say Hare told officers that the boy overdosed on OxyContin pills.

He also claimed the boy was an alcoholic and abused drugs.

However, the boy’s family says they had no knowledge of the allegations.
