MUSTANG, Okla. - Mustang police are searching for gas thieves who have targeted a daycare's parking lot multiple times in the past two weeks.

Big white vans sit in the parking lot of the Little Broncos Kids Too daycare in Mustang.

"We have three 15 passenger vans, they mean a lot to us. We have a lot of schools in Mustang, we have a lot of children on our roll,” said Tonya Curtis, owner of Little Broncos Kids Too daycare.

Employees say the daycare relies on its fleet of three vans every single day.

"It breaks my heart for someone who feels like they need to steal," said Curtis.

Curtis says someone has been siphoning gas from their company vehicles.

In the past two weeks, the thieves have struck three times.

"We would fill up and the next morning, the teachers would get in the vans and there would be no gas in there," said Curtis.

The vans cost about $100 to fill up and the daycare uses them to pick up and drop off kids from school.

So far, they've lost about $500 worth of gas.

"Please take into consideration that you're taking from the children," said Tonya Curtis.

The business has security cameras, but can't make out anyone on the surveillance video.

Owners say they have moved the vans off of the property and are in the process of adding cap locks to all the gas tanks.

However, they still have a warning for nearby businesses.

"I hate that any kind of crime would be happening here, but just be aware," said Curtis.

If you notice any suspicious activity like this, call the Mustang Police Department.
