Oklahoma police searching for driver accused of hitting a pedestrian

BETHANY, Okla. – Police in Bethany, Okla. are searching for a hit and run driver.

The victim, who was walking on the street, is in the hospital with injuries after the impact sent him flying over the car, according to police.

Officers say it happened on Northwest 23rd between MacArthur and Rockwell just before 3 a.m. Thursday.

Witnesses told police the driver first pulled over after hitting the victim, but then drove off.

Police are still working the case and talking to potential eyewitnesses.

No word on the condition of the victim.
