Remains discovered in Oklahoma field, death investigated as ‘suspicious’

CHICKASHA, Okla. – Authorities say they are currently investigating a suspicious death in Chickasha.

On Friday afternoon, a person mowing the grass near 4th and Frisco found what appeared to be human remains.

The OSBI was able to lift a fingerprint from the body and found out the victim’s identity.

The woman has been identified as Elizabeth Alice Barnes.

The medical examiner’s office will determine Barnes’ exact cause of death.

At this point, the OSBI is investigating it as a suspicious death.
