SAN ANTONIO, Texas – A manhunt is underway in San Antonio after a suspect shot a man on a bus.

Police say the suspect boarded a transit bus on Tuesday afternoon, looking for a fight.

Officers say the man was trying to start confrontations with other riders, but most people just ignored him.

However, he sat across from a man in his 20s.

“The exact nature of what was said, at this point, we’re not clear on, but it was just something along the lines of, ‘What are you looking at?’ The victim said he wasn’t looking at anything and then the suspect escalated the confrontation by taking out a gun,” Sgt. Javier Salazar, with the San Antonio Police
Department, said. “He took out a weapon, a handgun, and shot the victim several times.”

The suspect then demanded the bus driver stop so he could get off.

The victim died at the scene.

So far, no arrests have been made.
