Sources tell Sports Director Bob Barry, Jr. that OU quarterback Trevor Knight will not play against Texas Tech Saturday.

Redshirt freshman Cody Thomas will make his first start at quarterback for the Sooners. Thomas is 5 of 16 for 50 yards, no touchdowns and one interception in the four appearances he's made this season.

Knight was carted off in 4th quarter after a big hit by Baylor defensive lineman Shawn Oakman.

Sources also said that Knight hasn't taken a snap in practice this week and he's been seen wearing a neck brace.

Quarterback turned tight end, Blake Bell, has taken reps at the signal caller position this week. He's slated to back up Cody Thomas in Lubbock.

The school has yet to release anything official just yet, but will meet the media tomorrow.
