MCLEAN, Va. – Two married attorneys are charged with invading a Virginia home and attacking the couple inside.

According to WRC, Alecia Schmuhl, a 30-year-old lawyer, and her attorney husband Andrew, are accused of going to a home in Virginia and brutally attacking the couple.

A 61-year-old man and his wife remain in the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being stabbed.

They were able to identify their attackers to police as they were rushed to the hospital.

The male victim is a managing partner at a northern Virginia law firm.

It is the same firm where Alecia Schmuhl worked before she was recently fired.

Investigators say it appears the home invasion and attack were part of a revenge plan.
