Police: Mother arrested after found passed out with infant in cold car

OKLAHOMA CITY – Officers arrested a mother after she and her child were found inside a cold car.

On Wednesday, police discovered 37-year-old Lori Vanauken slumped over inside her vehicle.

When they woke her up, they discovered an infant in the backseat of the car.

According to the arrest affidavit, the child was cold to the touch.

Vanauken is facing charges of child endangerment and actual physical control of a motor vehicle.

She was also wanted for city warrants for larceny of merchandise and failure to appear.
