HOUSTON, Texas (KPRC) – A Texas school employee is accused of kicking a kindergartner in the face.

“I was crying, I was nervous, I was mad,” the child’s mother told KPRC.

She says her 5-year-old son was on the playground when he brushed the faculty member’s leg.

At that point, she says the faculty member lifted his foot and kicked him in the face.

“The only thing I want is [the employee] never working in any school,” she said.

The boy’s mother took him to the doctor and they have paperwork that says he suffered a facial injury.

The employee says the accusations are proof.

“We have all the proof right here,” the child’s aunt says.

The boy’s family says they want answers.

The Houston Independent School District says it is investigating the incident.

In the meantime, the faculty member has been temporarily reassigned.

At this point, the faculty member is not facing criminal charges.
