Man arrested after allegedly punching boss, chasing him with garden hoe

OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities arrested a 50-year-old Oklahoma City man after he allegedly attacked his boss.

When officers arrived to the scene, they found a man with a bloody lip, who claimed he was just attacked by 50-year-old Donald Jeffers.

According to the arrest affidavit, the victim is a contractor and Jeffers was hired as a day laborer.

The victim told officers that he found Jeffers inside his truck with his tools all over the floorboard.

According to the affidavit, when the victim told Jeffers to get away from his truck, Jeffers punched the victim in the face.

When the victim told Jeffers he was calling the police, the report says Jeffers “walked away and came back with a garden hoe. He started swinging the hoe at [victim] and told him that he was going to kill him.”

Jeffers was arrested for assault and battery.
