RENO, Nev. – She is usually the person that dishes up the treats at a Nevada high school, but on Friday, this special lunch lady was the one who was served in the best way.
While students in tuxedos served her food, she was serenaded by the school choir.
The group of 200 students arranged for her to have dinner at her favorite restaurant back home in Memphis when she goes to visit her sick mother for Thanksgiving.
They even bought her a plane ticket so that she could go back and visit her mom again soon.
The students say Lynn is one of the nicest people.
“I had no idea,” gushed Lunch Lady Lynn. “I love these kids, they’re the best. Oh, this is awesome, thank you guys!”
The students teamed up with a company from Southern California called Dude Be Nice to make it happen.
The company is a startup that inspires students to honor unsung heroes in the community in creative ways.
