Sooners Roll Past Demons in Norman

Oklahoma’s 18th-ranked men’s basketball team knocked down 10 three-pointers and hit 50 percent of their shots on their way to a 90-68 win over Northwestern State of Louisiana on Sunday afternoon at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.

Five Sooners were in double figures, led by Isaiah Cousins, who had 20 points and made 4 of 5 from three-point range.

Buddy Hield added 16 points, while Ryan Spangler, Jordan Woodard, and Dinjiyl Walker all scored 13 points each.

OU broke open a close game with a run late in the first half and led 50-30 at halftime.

The Sooners’ biggest lead was 27 early in the second half.

Northwestern State was held to just 36 percent field goal shooting.

Oklahoma improves to 2-1 and will travel to the Bahamas for three games, starting Wednesday at 1:30 against UCLA.
