WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral arguments Monday on a case examining free speech and social media.

At issue is whether the violent rap lyrics posted on Facebook are protected by the First Amendment.

The case centers around a Pennsylvania man sentenced to nearly four years in prison for posting lyrics about killing his estranged wife and attacking an FBI agent.

His lawyers ague he was just venting and the posts were free speech.
