MOORE, Okla. - Moore Police have arrested an 18-year-old in connection with a weekend shooting that left a 14-year-old dead.

Railena Rhodes was killed early Saturday morning when gunshots came through the walls of a home where she was staying.

Police say Rhodes was at the home where her mother lives.

They believe there had been some sort of a party or gathering when the shooting happened.

Monday, police announced Cody Delano, of Lexington, has been arrested in connection with the case.

Police say he is being held in the Cleveland County Jail on a complaint of first degree murder.

Flowers and a sign of remembrance now sit outside of the house where Railena died.

Police say the shooting happened around 3:45 a.m. Saturday morning.

"They pretty much emptied whatever weapon they had out. There were several casings and they hit the house several times," Sergeant Jeremy Lewis said.

Police say they do believe the home was targeted; however, they do not believe Railena was a target.

"I don't think she was the target. Just the wrong place at the wrong time. Very unfortunate victim," Lewis said.

The family is working to set up a GoFundMe.com page to help raise money for her funeral expenses.
