TULSA, Okla. – A Tulsa man was arrested after allegedly beating his roommate to death with a baseball bat.

Joel Giefer was arrested on one count of first-degree murder.

According to KJRH, police officers received a call to check on the wellbeing of Giefer’s roommate, 31-year-old Ted Kissel.

The caller reportedly told police they were concerned because the suspect and Kissel recently had an issue over rent money.

When police arrived, they noted Giefer was acting strange.

According to the police report, officers saw a baseball bat and a pool of blood by a bedroom door.

They found Kissel dead from blunt force trauma.
