OSBI agents investigating Oklahoma officer-involved shooting
CHOCTAW COUNTY, Okla. – OSBI agents are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Grant, Oklahoma.
According to KTEN, 33-year-old William Lee Honea was shot multiple times after a high-speed chase.
Officials say the chase ended in the parking lot of the Choctaw Nation Casino and Resort when Honea exited a pickup truck he had stolen and then raised a rifle at officers.
Two Hugo officers and two Choctaw County sheriff’s deputies fired their weapons.
Honea was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Choctaw County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI investigate the shooting.
