‘Forbes’ releases the ‘Top 25 Places to Retire’ list; Did Oklahoma make the list?

OKLAHOMA CITY –  Did you know that the Oklahoma City metro is one of the top 25 places in the country to retire?

That’s according to Forbes.com.

The metro ranks number 18 on the list.

Forbes lists a number of factors in the Oklahoma City area that are attractive to retirees.

1.  Good economy.

2. Cost of living 7% below national average.

3. Typical home price is $160,000.

4.  Good state tax climate.

5.  High volunteering rank.

However, Forbes say there are some drawbacks to the metro.

Forbes experts point to the area’s high crime rate and sometimes violent weather.

So, what’s the number one place to retire, according to the website?

Abilene, Texas.
