Bombings kill at least 32 people in Jos, Nigeria
JOS NIGERIA– Two bombs have detonated near a bus station in central Nigeria, witnesses said, the second explosion killing at least 32 people.
A bomb was dropped in the same area in May that allegedly seemed like the doings of Islamist Boko Haram militants, that killed 118 people.
According to www.reuters.com “Boko Haram is a Sunni jihadist movement that has been waging a five-year insurgency to establish an Islamist state in the northeast of the country.”
The number of attacks in Nigeria has significantly spiked since President Goodluck Jonathan declared a state of emergency in three northeastern states last year.
