Reports: 3 seriously injured after shooting near Oregon high school, suspect on the loose

UPDATE: The injuries list has risen to four people after a shooting near an Oregon high school.

Sgt. Pete Simpson, with the Portland Police Department, said a 16-year-old girl is listed in critical condition, a 17-year-old boy is in serious condition and a 20-year-old man is in serious condition following the attack.

A 19-year-old woman was grazed by a bullet but was treated at the scene.

Authorities say at least three victims ran inside a school building after being shot.

So far, no arrests have been made.

The suspect may be affiliated with a gang but it is not known if the shooting was gang-related or a “personal beef,” Simpson said.

The suspect is described as a man in his late teens or early 20s and was accompanied by two other men.

All of the victims were students at the school or were enrolled in other programs at the facility.


PORTLAND, Ore. (CNN) – Three people have been shot near a high school in Oregon.

According to Lt. Rich Tyler, with the Portland Fire Department, the victims were breathing and conscious as they were taken to a nearby hospital.

Authorities say the victims were shot just off campus of Rosemary Anderson High School and the alleged shooter fled the scene.

So far, no arrests have been made.

Nearby schools were also placed on lockdown.
