OKLAHOMA CITY– A man was arrested after allegedly firing his shotgun at a woman when she didn’t get off his lawn fast enough.

According to police reports, a 21-year-old woman went to 33-year-old Samuel Ward’s house to get some information about one of his friends.

She claims that the two knew each other through mutual friends.

When she showed up to his house, the police affidavit claims Ward was waiting for her in the yard with a shotgun.

The report claims he yelled at her to get off his property.

When she didn’t get out of his yard completely, Ward allegedly fired a shot into the air, police reports say.

Police say he then swung his gun and hit Johnson in the leg with it.

According to officers, that’s when she started walking to her car, but Ward fired another shot.

The second bullet hit her car.

Ward is being charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
