NORMAN, Okla. – The man who says he burglarized OU Fooball Coach Bob Stoops’ home has been sentenced to nine months in the county jail.

Corey Jamal McCarty, 22, received his sentence in a Cleveland County courtroom Tuesday.

The judge also gave McCarty a 10-year suspended sentence.

McCarty admitted to breaking in to the Stoops family home in June 2013 and stealing cash, a cell phone, credit cards, and a car.

Authorities say he swiped the bank card at a local business.

McCarty plead guilty in September to burglary and larceny charges.
