OKLAHOMA CITY- Officers are trying to find the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a deadly hit-and-run accident on Thursday night.

Authorities were called around 6:30 p.m. to an apartment complex near S.W. 39th St. and Portland Ave. where the body of a man was found lying in the street.

Officials say debris from a vehicle was found at the scene and police say they believe the man was hit by a passing car.

The victim has been identified as 40-year-old Lino Lopez.

Oklahoma City police say Lopez was walking south on Portland, heading home from a store.

At that point, a vehicle heading southbound on Portland hit Lopez and left the scene.

The truck is described as a light-colored 1999 Ford F-150 pickup truck that is missing the front honeycomb style grill.
