CATOOSA, Okla. (KJRH)  – A Catoosa teacher has been fired for allegedly piling kids into her car and putting two kids in the trunk to run an errand.

In October, Heather Cagle left Wells Middle School with 11 kids and drove to Wal-Mart to get snacks.

According to KJRH, during the trip to Walmart, two kids rode in the trunk of Cagle’s Honda Accord, seven crammed in the back and two sat in the front seat.

On Wednesday, after a due process hearing, Catoosa school board members voted to fire Cagle.

Cagle’s attorney Richard O’Carroll told the board that the students were all having fun and no one was in any danger.

However, the attorney representing Catoosa Public Schools disagreed.

The school’s attorney called the snack run “mental abuse.”

The attorney claims not having school administrators or parents’ permission is a violation.
