Singer Joe Cocker has died, according to reports from the BBC and ITV News.

He was 70.

USA Today reports that his agent confirmed the singer died of an undisclosed illness.

ITV News received a statement from Sony Music, which says Cocker passed away Monday after a battle with lung cancer.
