Officials: Two Oklahomans injured in hit-and-run crash

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. – Two people were injured after they were hit by a car on Christmas Day.

On Thursday morning, Midwest City firefighters were called to an accident involving pedestrians and a vehicle.

Authorities say the crash happened in the 300 block of Midwest Blvd., just north of Reno Ave.

According to Major David Richardson, with the Midwest City Fire Department, two people were injured in the accident.

According to Lt. Mark Nickel, with the Midwest City Police Department, one man and one woman were hit.

Officials say they believe the pair are father and daughter, who were walking across the street when they were hit.

Richardson says the man was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

Nickel says the woman was treated at the scene.

The driver of the car had already left the area by the time officers arrived at the scene.

Officials are not releasing the victims’ names at this time.
