Body of 4-year-old boy with Autism found in pond

LITTLE RIVER, S.C.– The body of a non-communicative boy with Autism was found on Friday.

Horry County Lieutenant Raul Denis said that 4-year-old, Jayden Morrison was found in a pond, not far from his grandmother’s home, at 10:45 a.m.

The boy had been missing since Wednesday. His grandmother, told police that when she turned around ,the boy disappeared, according to NBC’s Myrtle Beach affiliate WMBF.

The Horry County police department said that hundreds of people had assisted in the search for the 4-year-old, but his body was not found until they started draining the pond.

His mom, who lives in New York, had left him in the care of his grandmother so he could visit family for the holidays.
