UPDATE: Oklahoma rape suspect captured in Texas

UPDATE: Officials with the U.S. Marshals say Freeman was captured in Austin, Texas on Monday.

He was wanted for first-degree rape of a child.

 

TILLMAN COUNTY, Okla. – A man accused of raping a child is on the run.

According to KSWO, 55-year-old Booth Dean Freeman Jr. allegedly raped a child under the age of 14.

Freeman is a registered sex offender who has served two years in prison for indecency with a child.

The Tillman County Sheriff’s Department says Freeman told family members that he will “take a bullet before he will go back to jail.”

Officials believe Freeman may be driving a white 1993 Ford extended cab pickup. The truck has the Oklahoma license plate, 359-LET.

He may be en route to Austin, Texas.
