Oklahoma man shows up to court for public intox, brings bottle of bourbon

ENID, Okla. – An Enid man showed up to court Wednesday on a public intoxication charge, but was quickly arrested when officials realized he was drunk.

According to Enid News, 53-year-old Brian Patrick Felber was arrested Wednesday morning when he appeared before a judge while under the influence.

He reportedly failed to respond when his name was called by court officials and appeared to be unsteady on his feet.

“He was arrested after making verbal contact with the judge, the judge smelled something and believed the subject was intoxicated,” the sheriff told Enid News.

Officials say they found an open bottle of bourbon in Febler’s possession.

He was arrested for public intoxication and possession of an open bottle of liquor in public.
