Oklahoma woman killed in New Year’s Day wreck

LAWTON, Okla.–An Oklahoma woman died early New Year’s Day near Lawton.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has identified the woman as Casey LaRoche, 21.

Troopers say the accident happened on Highway 7 and Southeast 90th street.

Troopers say LaRoche a passenger were northbound on Southeast 90th street around 3 a.m. when LaRoche ran a stop sign and was struck by a dump truck headed eastbound on Highway 7.

LaRoche and her passenger were not wearing seatbelts and were ejected from the vehicle. She died at the scene while the passenger was taken to the hospital in good condition. The driver of the dump truck and his passenger were not hurt.

The accident remains under investigation.
