Police: one in custody after chase leads to manhunt

NORMAN, Okla. – Police have one man in custody following a short chase that ended at an apartment complex.

According to Norman Police, the man stole a white GMC pickup truck that the owner had left running in the parking lot of a gas station in the 1200 block of East Lindsey.

Police caught up to the suspect near Hwy 9 and SE 12th St.

He led them on a short vehicle chase ending at the at the Cardinal Creek Apartments, according to officials.

Officials say he then took off on foot, sparking police to set up a perimeter around the north end of that apartment complex as well as a surrounding golf course.

The suspect was later caught in the parking lot of that complex.

He will be facing unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, drug and warrant charges.

There were no injuries or property damage.
