Cowboys Crush Wildcats After Half, Win Conference Opener

After trailing by two at half time, the Oklahoma State men’s basketball team outscored Kansas State 34-18 in the second half to pick up a 61-47 win in their Big 12 opener.

The win gives OSU their first win in a conference opener since the 2011-12 season.

Four Cowboy starters scored in double figures, led by Phil Forte’s 20 points.

Forte hit three of OSU’s eight made three pointers in the game.

The junior guard has made at least one three pointer in 18 straight games.

Tavarius Shine was the lone Pokes player to score off the bench, he finished the game with eight points.

Travis Ford’s team improved to 11-2 on the year and 1-0 in conference play.

The Cowboys travel to Iowa State for the next game on, Tuesday, January 6 with tip set for 8:00 p.m. CT.
