Late Baylor Run Overwhelms Cowgirls

Sixth-ranked Baylor went on a 34-8 run to end the game and beat the number 18 Oklahoma State women’s basketball team 61-45 in the Big 12 opener for both teams on Saturday at the Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas.

OSU led by six at halftime, 33-27, and built the lead to 37-27 early in the second half.

The Cowgirls struggled from there, as Baylor outscored OSU 34-8 the rest of the way.

Oklahoma State committed 17 turnovers and shot just 32 percent from the field.

Liz Donohe led OSU with 13 points.

LaShawn Jones added 11 points and 9 rebounds.

OSU falls to 10-2 on the season, while Baylor improves to 12-1.

The Cowgirls host Texas Tech Wednesday night at 7:00 at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
