Having a baby? Studies reveal most popular, unique baby names in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA  CITY –  If you are expecting, it can be tough to come up with a special name for your bundle of joy.

If you chose the names Emma or Mason, you are not alone.

According to the U.S. Social Security Administration, those names were the most common for children born in Oklahoma in 2013.

The most popular baby names in 2014 won’t be released until spring.

However, many parents want their child to have a name as unique as their personality.

VOX decided to research the most popular unique baby names in each of the 50 states.

Its report focused on which names were the most common in each state.

According to the study, the most distinctive baby names in Oklahoma are Tatum, for a girl, and Gunner, for a boy.
