ELBA, New York – Sheriff’s deputies say some fourth graders plotted to poison their teacher.

The teacher told her students at the beginning of the year that she has a severe allergy to hand sanitizer.

According to WHEC, the students talked about spreading sanitizer on things they knew their teacher would touch.

The notes from the sheriff’s report say the fourth grade girls “planned to kill the teacher by placing hand sanitizer on various items that the teacher would come in contact with.”

The sheriff’s department isn’t moving forward with any criminal charges.

According to WHEC, the school is handling the incident internally.
