OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City man was arrested after allegedly stealing his ex-girlfriend’s vehicle twice in the span of a few hours.

Officers were called to the area of N.E. 23rd St. and Martin Luther King Blvd. after a woman claimed her ex-boyfriend had broken into her home.

The victim told authorities 45-year-old Jamie Richards ran from her home, jumped into her car and drove away.

Authorities were able to track the vehicle’s GPS to a nearby Popeye’s parking lot, where officers found the car with the keys inside it.

The victim drove the car back home and put the keys in her pocket.

The arrest affidavit claims she was waiting for her door to be repaired when Richards returned to her apartment.

According to the report, Richards allegedly punched her in the head and said, “I can’t believe you called the cops on me, b****!”

The victim said Richards took the keys a second time and fled in her car.

Authorities stopped the car a short time later and arrested Richards.

The report says Richards already spent eight years in prison and is currently serving a two-year suspended sentence for doing the same thing to the victim previously.

Richards is charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, two counts of larceny of auto vehicle and two counts of unauthorized use of a motorized vehicle.
