High School Hoops Tournaments Roll On, PC West Plays For Title

The 2015 Putnam City Invitational will feature a home town team playing for the tournament's title on Saturday, January 10.

Putnam City West advanced to the championship game with a 83-49 blowout win over Tulsa Washington.

On the other side of the bracket, after trailing by 11 at halftime Tulsa Union came back to beat the Oklahoma City Storm 52-49.

PC West and Union tip at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday for the Putnam City Invitational title.

High school basketball tournaments continued across the state over the weekend as team's take another step towards taking home a state title.

The Putnam City Invitational and McGuinness Classic played out their semifinal rounds on Friday, January 9, before crowning champions on Saturday.

In the PC Invitational, Putnam City rolled to a 90-59 win over John Marshall to advance to Saturday's action.

PCO will face Midwest City in the consolation game on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

In the 55th annual McGuinness Classic, Norman and Yukon picked up wins to advance to the tournament's consolation game on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Norman downed Guthrie 62-52 with a late rally.

Yukon took down 72-65 Northwest Classen to advance.
