Late TCU Rally Defeats Cowgirls

TCU’s women’s basketball team closed the game with a 14-4 run to come from behind and beat 16th-ranked Oklahoma State 70-66 in Fort Worth, Texas, on Saturday.

The Cowgirls led by as many as eight points in the second half, but sputtered offensively in the final few minutes.

OSU shot 57 percent from the field for the game, but TCU countered at 52 percent.

LaShawn Jones paced the Cowgirls with 20 points, while Brittney Martin had 17 points and 9 rebounds.

Liz  Donohoe added 16 points and 6 rebounds.

Oklahoma State falls to 11-3 overall, 1-2 in the Big 12.

The Cowgirls host Kansas State Wednesday night at 7:00 at Gallagher-Iba Arena.
