Sooner Women Cruise Past Tech in Lubbock

Oklahoma’s women’s basketball team held Texas Tech to just 29 percent field goal shooting on their way to a 75-58 win over the Lady Raiders at United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, Texas, on Saturday afternoon.

After Tech hit the first basket of the game on a 3-pointer, OU went on a 16-2 run to take the lead for good, leading by as many as 21 points in the first half before taking a 45-25 lead at halftime.

Three Sooners scored in double figures, led by Peyton Little’s 13 points, all in the first half.

Gabbi Ortiz and Sharane Campbell both scored 12 points, with Ortiz hitting three 3-pointers.

OU held Tech to just 1-for-14 from three-point range, as the Sooners earned their 8th straight win over the Lady Raiders, and their fourth in a row in Lubbock.

Oklahoma improved to 9-5 overall, 3-0 in Big 12 play, as they earned their fourth straight win.

The Sooners host Texas on Wednesday night at 7:00 at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.
