Man accused of Stillwater near-beheading gets new attorney
STILLWATER, Okla. – The man accused of the near-beheading and brutal murder of a teenager in Stillwater was back in court Monday.
According to the Payne County Court Clerk, 21-year-old Isaiah Marin announced he will get a new public defender as his attorney.
The hearing was prompted because the District Attorney’s Office filed a bill of particulars seeking the death penalty on Jan. 5th.
Prosecutors allege Isaiah Marin wanted to kill other people, including his brothers, the same day he nearly beheaded Jacob Crockett.
