LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (WLEX) – A Kentucky man has been indicted on charges stemming from an alleged assault on his wife.

According to WLEX, Michael Joseph is facing an array of charges after allegedly holding his wife at gunpoint while tattooing the word “slut” on her back.

Officials say Joseph became jealous and accused his wife of contacting her ex-boyfriend.

After the pair arrived home, authorities say Joseph grabbed a gun and told the victim he was going to tattoo something on her back.

Joseph claims his wife’s account is inaccurate.

“The caliber of the gun has changed twice. She says she was hit repeatedly from Lawrenceburg to Lexington, yet she received no medical attention. There were no cuts, marks, bruises on her,” he said.

Joseph was indicted on charges of second-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment and first-degree unlawful imprisonment.

He was previously serving time for stabbing a man in a Walmart parking lot and for threatening to kill his wife.
